Report of the 2007 Stockholder's Meeting

This year Oki, for the first time, rented a hall outside their property. The hall was in a super-modern building name " Mita Twin Building".

It looked to be very expensive.

Each year, for Oki's stockholder's meeting, less than 20 " Normal Stockholders" join .

Almost all in attendance are " Company mobilized stockholders", or CMS, except for my supporters and I.

The reason we know that they are CMS is because they shout, "We agree! " in response to the chairman and raise their hands to agree with the motion of concluding the meeting, even though other people there still have questions.

Oki has continuously changed the meeting to a bigger and bigger room.

When I first attended, in 1989, there were only 100 seats for stockholders, but many seats were vacant.

There were 20 people in the first two rows, who were " CMS."

Maybe they prepared another 30 or so "CMS."

This year they hired a large, expensive hall and hired many guards and 300 CMS in order to drown out our voices.

This year they paid no dividends, even though they spent lavishly on a large hall and guards. Many stockholders are angry about this, as Oki should have paid them.

This year Oki didn't hire big body guards.

Maybe they gave up the notion of kicking me out violently.

Instead of that, they examined every one's belongings by a metal detector at the entrance and they refused the entry of video cameras and megaphones.

This is their "New Strategy".

My supporters and I accused them by asking:

" What is the legal reason for refusing entry of video cameras? Oki is taking video of the meeting. In the case I brought before the court, we asked Oki to submit the video as evidence, but they refused. So we have the right to take videos ourselves as protection of our own rights."

And we asked, "Who is in charge of the security check area?"

But the guards kept silent.

So I took back my 40w transistor megaphone and made a speech in front of the hall.

I spoke about Oki's workplace situation concerning discrimination and harassment and the bid-rigging case that was already decided as guilty in the court.

I spoke without any time limit.

The railroad worker union members also joined my speech.

The location in front of the hall was the more crowded compared with previous years.

So this was a very bad situation for Oki.

The seats for stockholders, about 300, were almost full.

As usual, they shouted, "We agree !" in response to the chairman, and raised their hands for the motion of the conclusion of the meeting.

So you know they are "CMS."

My speech was as follows.

Oki's strategy was the same as last year.

" We don't answer your questions. Your question is not the theme of the meeting."

Maybe they thought that they could get through their crisis if they took another stockholder's question, just after my question, without giving an answer, because we had no megaphone this year.

So I instantly formed a strategy, the "Answer please call".

I repeatedly called out, "Answer please ," without any microphone.

The guards took no action against me this year .

I continued to shout, "Answer please," until the meeting concluded very rapidly and all the executives exited.

Oki tried to finish the meeting during the chaos by repeatedly taking votes in which the CMS agreed.

So that situation was the same as the 2003 meeting.

The president ran from the enemy.

The company obviously spent a great deal of money for the campaign against me, but showed their lack of ability.

Thank you very much to all my supporters.

I am Tanaka No 95

I have 5 questions.

No1

In every year's meeting I pose questions about human rights violations in the work place by showing individual names and work locations.

One recent example of this is people who pass by a person's desk and cough, as many as 50 times a day.

When I heard this story I thought it was someone's delusion, but now I know it is a way of harassment prevalent in many companies.

We have information that Mr. Enomoto, an executive, is involved with this harassment concerning this issue.

This type of political harassment and other types of harassment are against part-time workers and contract workers, especially at the Hachioji factory.

Last year, I asked the question, "How did you investigate harassment in the workplace?" but you didn't answer. I ask you again.

No2

About the bid-rigging case.

December of last year, Oita district court made a decision that Yufu city should ask for compensation for 4,490,000 Yen from Oki, because Oki bid-rigged.

It means the court acknowledged that Oki committed a crime.

Now Oki has appealed to the high court, which means they have no regrets.

Who will take responsibility and what will they do when Oki loses in the Supreme court?

So I ask again, how did you investigate yourself in this matter?

No3

Last year I asked the same question and you refused to answer because my questions were not the theme of the meeting, and I was kicked out.

Do you still believe your behavior was legal? Were my two questions not the theme of the meeting?

No4

Every year this meeting becomes chaos.

You may say I caused that. But I just asked the chairman for an answer as a stockholder.

All chaos in the past was caused by the chairman refusing to answer and then ordering my exit.

In the world such meetings are only held by Oki.

These incidents have been reported by newspapers and internet.

It shows the executive's incapabilities and reasons for lower stock prices.

Are you going to give me an exit order and kick me out violently this year too?

No5

I believe that normal stockholders will hope to improve such a serious situation.

So I ask other stockholders to ask relative questions.

Take photos with your cell phone if the company kicks me out violently, then show it to society; we don't have a camera this year because Oki won't allow us to bring it in.
